Corduroy’s ridges are known as “wales;” the fewer per inch, the chunkier the cord. This is an exceptionally fine take, at 28-wales, which gives it a lighter weight, a smoother hand, and a subtle sheen rather than a heavy, ridged look. Made from 100% cotton, it’s breathable and softens with wear, and it drapes more like a shirting fabric than a traditional corduroy.
